The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with the Council of Governors (CoG) and the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), is implementing the Action and Support to avert, minimize, and address displacement in Kenya. The goal of this initiative is to enhance the knowledge and skills of frontline humanitarian actors and responders.

This program will be piloted in four counties: Mombasa, Garissa, Homa Bay, and Kisumu, with the aim of enhancing the technical capacity of key humanitarian responders from national, county governments, and the private sector. IOM and its partners are conducting TOT sessions to train selected participants who will then implement the ESP at the local level, particularly in areas vulnerable to natural disasters, climate shocks, and human-induced crises.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Sharif Faisal, Deputy Chief of Mission (IOM Kenya), and his team for their invaluable contributions to this important program, which will play a crucial role in disaster and risk management efforts.
