In an effort to promote regional tourism and further revitalize tourism in our county, I joined Uganda Amb. Paul Mukumbya Consul General of Uganda to witness the inaugural Kilifi-Uganda Open tournament and prize giving at Vipingo Ridge PGA Baobab Course.
This being part of the Uganda Festival marks the culmination of the tourism and business networking exhibitions between Kilifi County and Uganda. The festival has provided both Uganda and Kilifi County an opportunity to showcase its individual rich culture and promote regional tourism altogether
We further discussed ways to leverage on sports such as golf to promote tourism. My administration is committed to partnering and creating opportunities for the tourism sector to ensure this lucrative industry thrives.
