I have had wonderful engagements with youths at Maono Space Centre in Malindi. Maono Space provides space for over 40 youth CBOs to work, network, and collaborate, as well as provide capacity-building and mentorship programmes. It also provides for incubation programmes that eventually establish linkages to the donor world.
The team presented a data analysis on education, health, and businesses collected across Kilifi County. From the data presented, I am glad to note that we are making great strides in terms of the provision of scholarships to our students as well as the provision of health services.
We are not where we were, and I believe that with time and dedication, we will achieve even more. I wish to commend the youths and their mentors at Maono Space for their good work and urge other youths to join them.
I pledged to work hand in hand with them and possibly come up with a data desk and a call centre that will respond to all queries across different sectors of our economy.
