I had the privilege of attending the Annual General Meeting (A.G.M) of Ng’ombeni Girls Secondary School in Chonyi Sub-County as the Guest of Honor, alongside esteemed leaders, members of the teaching fraternity led by Senior Principal Madam Peninah Mwangi, the Board of Management (BOM), Parents, and Students.
The institution has exhibited exceptional levels of discipline, dedication, and strong collaboration among its teaching staff, parents, and students, resulting in outstanding performance in national examinations.
In line with our governmental commitments, a new dispensary will be constructed in Chonyi Sub-County at Dindiri, providing crucial healthcare services to both the school and the community. Moreover, the Lutsangani to Ng’ombeni water project will soon be completed through our water department, benefiting over 2000 local residents.
I emphasized to the students the importance of maintaining high levels of discipline, avoiding drugs and substance abuse, discouraged early teenage pregnancies, and stressed the significance of good parenting and enhanced collaboration among key education stakeholders.
The event was attended by esteemed guests including Hon. Gertrude Mbeyu, Kilifi County Women Representative, Hon. Kazungu Mbura, MCA of Chasimba ward, Mr. Robert Yese, Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) of Chonyi Sub-County, Mr. Hezekiah Mwarua, Chief Officer of Water, Madam Doris Mashaka, Director of Education for Chonyi Sub-County, and other distinguished attendees.
