Hosted a team from Nyikaland International, led by their chairman, Engineer Paul Mutemi. Nyikaland International has been contracted by Kenya Power to ensure the connectivity of free electricity.

This project is fully funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the European Union (EU). The team is here to conduct surveying, design planning, and customer data collection before the connection.

This initiative aligns with my agenda to strengthen the economy and enhance security in our communities through adequate lighting. Nyikaland International will work closely with the Department of Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning, and Urban Development to sensitize the community and ensure the successful execution of this initiative, for the benefit of our people.

The Last Mile Connectivity Program is a government flagship project initiated in 2015 to provide affordable electricity connections in rural and peri-urban areas.
