Today, I presided over the official launch of Kilifi County’s mass distribution of Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) expected to begin in the next coming weeks. This crucial program, led by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) with support from the Global Fund, is a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Kilifi County Government.
Over a million nets will be distributed across the county, with each household receiving at least three treated mosquito nets. This initiative is a significant step in our efforts to protect residents against malaria. We strongly encourage all beneficiaries to use these nets as intended.
KEMSA recognized Kilifi County as the largest beneficiary of their services due to our substantial orders for medicine and medical supplies.
