Today, we’ve signed an MOU with SchoolTry, an educational technology solution that leverages innovative technology to create a smart environment for school management. This initiative aims to facilitate real-time connectivity among school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
The agreement stems from a meeting we held with the Swedish ambassador to Kenya, H.E Caroline Vicini, on April 30th. Discussions during this meeting focused on potential partnerships, particularly in technology-related fields of interest. As a result, SchoolTry, in collaboration with Kilifi County Government, will embark on a three-month pilot project at 10 vocational training centres within the county.
Presently, training sessions for VTC managers are underway, with Gede VTC being the first to undergo this program. The skills acquired through this program will enable efficient tracking and analysis of digital skills acquired by learners, thereby narrowing the gap between the digital job market and the learners.
